The Communauté de communes de Charente Limousine is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It was founded on December 20, 2016 and comprises 58 municipalities (as of January 1, 2019). The administrative headquarters are in Confolens .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

• Communauté de communes du Confolentais and
• Communauté de communes de Haute-Charente .

On January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Roumazières-Loubert , Genouillac , Mazières , La Péruse and Suris formed the Commune nouvelle Terres-de-Haute-Charente . This reduced the number of member communities to 58.
