Pressignac is a French municipality with 349 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the Arrondissement Confolens and the canton Charente-Vienne (until 2015 Chabanais ). The inhabitants are called Pressignacois .

Pressignac is located about 50 kilometers east-northeast of Angoulême on the Charente dammed up to Lac de Lavaude and is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chabanais in the north and northwest, Chassenon in the north and northeast, Rochechouart in the east, Vayres in the southeast, Videix in the south, Verneuil in the south and South-west, Massignac in the south-west, Lésignac-Durand in the west and Saint-Quentin-sur-Charente in the west and north-west.
