The Canton of Chabanais was 2015 a French canton in the department of Charente and in the former region Poitou-Charentes . It comprised eleven parishes in the Arrondissement Confolens ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Chabanais . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. The last representative in the conseil général des Départements was Jean-Marie Judde for the years 2001–2015.
