The canton of Angoulême-Nord was a French canton in the Charente department and in what was then the Poitou-Charentes region until 2015 . It covered part of the city of Angoulême in the Angoulême arrondissement . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. The last representative in the Regional Council was Frédéric Sardin for the years 2004–2015.

The canton was in the center of the Charente department. In the south-west it bordered the cantons of Angoulême-Est and Angoulême-Ouest , in the north on the canton Gond-Pontouvre , in the north-east on the canton Ruelle-sur-Touvre and in the south-east on the canton Soyaux .

Communities

The canton consisted of a few quarters in the north of the city of Angoulême.
