The canton of Châteauneuf-sur-Charente was a French canton in the Charente department and in what was then the Poitou-Charentes region until 2015 . It comprised 15 parishes in the arrondissement of Cognac ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Châteauneuf-sur-Charente . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015.
