Old town hall of Touzac

Touzac is a village and a former French commune of 400 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ). It belonged to the arrondissement of Cognac and the canton of Charente-Champagne . The inhabitants are called Touzacais .

With effect from January 1, 2017, the former municipalities of Malaville , Éraville , Nonaville , Touzac and Viville were merged into a Commune nouvelle called Bellevigne and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Malaville.

Touzac is located about 25 kilometers southeast of Cognac on the River .
