The canton of Angoulême-Ouest was a French canton in the Charente department and in what was then the Poitou-Charentes region until 2015 . It covered part of the city of Angoulême in the Angoulême arrondissement . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. The last representative in the Conseil Régional was David Comet for the years 2011–2015.
geography
The canton was in the center of the Charente department. In the south-west, west and north-west it bordered the canton of La Couronne , in the north-east on the cantons of Gond-Pontouvre and Angoulême-Nord and in the south-east on the canton of Angoulême-Est .
Communities
The canton consisted of the quarters to the west of the city of Angoulême.
