The Canton Touvre-et-Braconne is a French canton in the department of Charente and in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It comprises six parishes in the Angoulême arrondissement on the east side of the city of Angoulême . It was newly created in 2015 when the French cantons were reorganized nationwide. Its name refers to the Touvre River and the Braconne State Forest .
