The Canton Cognac-1 is a French canton in the Arrondissement of Cognac , in the department of Charente and in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It covers part of the city of Cognac and seven other communities north of Cognac. It was newly created in 2015 when the French cantons were reorganized nationwide.
