Zach Appelman (born August 5, 1986 in Palo Alto ) is an American film and stage actor .

Life

Zach Appelman was born on August 5, 1986 in Palo Alto, California, where he grew up and attended school. At high school , Appelman practiced various sports such as track and field , wrestling and competed in various martial arts . During this time, Appleman also earned a black belt in karate .

After high school, Appelman first studied acting at the University of California, Santa Barbara , where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and then acting at the renowned Yale School of Drama and graduated with a Master of Fine Arts . During this time Appelman gained his first experience as a theater actor.

Career

The first engagement Appelman received after graduation was for the role of Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet . In the computer game World of Warcraft: Cataclysm , published in 2010, Appelman dubbed the character Prince Liam Greymane. A few years later, Appleman received his first film role in Kill Your Darlings . His first starring role was in 2014 Appleman in a film version of Midsummer Night's Dream as Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream ; a film adaptation of the play in which Appleman had worked a year earlier at the Polonsky Shakespeare Center in Brooklyn. In August 2015, Appelman received a major supporting role in the series Sleepy Hollow , in which he played Joe Corbin. Appleman later received the recurring role of Alton Finn in the series Beauty and the Beast .
