Mesnac is a southwestern French community with 405 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Cognac and the canton of Cognac-1 (until 2015: canton of Cognac-Nord ). The inhabitants are called Mesnacais .

location

Mesnac is about nine kilometers north of the city center of Cognac . The river Antenne is to the west of the municipality. Mesnac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Seure in the north, Mons in the north and north-east, Cherves-Richemont in the south and east and Saint-Sulpice-de-Cognac in the west.
