Attractions

  • The origins of the Gothic parish church of Saint-Projet probably go back to the late 13th century; the crossing tower comes from the 15th century. After the destruction during the Huguenot Wars, the church building was stabilized by powerful buttresses . A thorough revision took place in the 19th century. The late construction period - compared to the Romanesque churches in the area - can be clearly seen in the sharpened arches of the archivolts and in the windows. The single nave nave is covered by a pointed barrel vault ; under the crossing there is a dome on pendentives . Various cult objects and parts of the church's furnishings are listed.
  • Several fountains and tombs in the village as well as some farmhouses in the area mostly date from the 19th and early 20th centuries and are also of historical value.
