Courbillac is a French municipality with 733 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Cognac and the canton of Val de Nouère (until 2015 Rouillac ). The inhabitants are called Courbillacois .

Courbillac is about fifteen kilometers northeast of Cognac . Courbillac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Macqueville in the north and north-west, Neuvicq-le-Château in the north and north-east, Mareuil in the east, Sigogne in the south and south-east and Houlette in the west and south-west.
