Saint-Vallier is located about 42 kilometers south-southwest of Angoulême . Saint-Vallier is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Brossac in the north and northeast, Bardenac in the northeast, Yviers in the east, Sauvignac in the south and southeast, Boresse-et-Martron in the west and southwest and Guizengeard in the west and northwest.
