Saint-Même-les-Carrières is a southwestern French municipality with 1068 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Cognac and the canton of Jarnac (until 2015: canton of Segonzac ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Mémiens .

Saint-Même-les-Carrières is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Mainxe-Gondeville with Gondeville in the north, Triac-Lautrait in the north and northeast, Bassac in the northeast, Graves-Saint-Amant in the east, Bouteville in the southeast, Saint-Preuil in the south, Segonzac in the southwest and Mainxe in the west.
