Val-d'Auge is a French municipality with 811 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the arrondissement of Cognac and the canton of Val de Nouère .

It was created with effect from January 1, 2019 as Commune nouvelle by amalgamating the previous municipalities of Auge-Saint-Médard , Anville , Bonneville and Montigné , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Auge-Saint-Médard.

location

The community is located around 27 kilometers northwest of Angoulême . The municipality is crossed by the small river Auge , which is also called Sauvage in the upper reaches . Neighboring municipalities are Verdille in the north, Mons in the east, Rouillac in the south, Neuvicq-le-Château in the south-west and Bresdon in the west.
