Emil Kraeusel

Emil Kraeusel (born December 9, 1854 in Rampitz, Weststernberg district (Brandenburg), † May 20, 1933 in Breslau ) was a German Protestant theologian .

Live and act

Emil Kraeusel was born the son of a pastor. After graduating from high school, he studied theology in Berlin at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität and at the University of Breslau . He was ordained on June 14, 1881 . As parish vicar he worked in Prittag ( Grünberg district ); In 1884 he received the pastor's post in Groß-Krichen ( Lüben district ). Sixteen years later he came to the city parish of St. Salvator in Breslau .

In 1907 the foundation stone for St. Johannis was laid in Breslau and Kraeusel became the first pastor of this parish on February 18, 1910. In 1923 he was elected President of the Silesian Provincial Synod . He held this office until 1929.
