Petra Buck-Heeb

Petra Buck-Heeb (* 1963 in Schorndorf as Petra Buck ) is a German lawyer and professor at the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University of Hanover .

Life

After graduating from the Max-Planck-Gymnasium Schorndorf in 1982 , Buck-Heeb began studying law at the University of Passau in the 1982/83 winter semester , but later switched to the University of Tübingen , where she initially worked as a research assistant for Klaus Hopt . In 1986 she passed her first state examination in law and during her subsequent legal clerkship worked as an assistant to Heinz-Dieter Assmann, who had recently moved to Tübingen . In 1990 she passed her second state examination in Stuttgart. After her second exam, she worked as a research assistant in the DFG research group under Assmann's leadership"International economic order" active. In 1993 she completed her doctorate in Tübingen. After a graduate college in Tübingen, a research stay in Berkeley and one year working for Assmann and Burkhard Hess in Tübingen, Buck-Heeb completed her habilitation in July 1999. As a result, she received the venia legendi for the subjects of civil law, commercial and economic law, industrial property rights and Copyright and European law.

This was followed by professorships at the universities of Bielefeld , Tübingen and Hagen . Since October 2001 she has held the full professorship for civil law, European and international business law at the University of Hanover .
