Oradour is a French municipality with 164 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the Arrondissement of Confolens and the canton of Charente-Nord ( Aigre until 2015 ).
geography
Oradour is located about 36 kilometers north-northwest of Angoulême . The Couture River runs in the eastern municipality . Neighboring communities are Lupsault in the north and north-west, Saint-Fraigne in the east and north-east, Aigre (with Villejésus ) in the east and south-east, Mons in the south, Verdille in the south-west and Barbezières in the west.
