Aunac-sur-Charente is a French municipality with 621 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Confolens and the canton Boixe-et-Manslois .
On January 1, 2017, Aunac-sur-Charente was formed as Commune nouvelle from the formerly independent communities of Aunac , Bayers and Chenommet . The administrative headquarters are in Aunac.

Aunac-sur-Charente is located about 32 kilometers north-northeast of Angoulême on the Charente . Aunac-sur-Charente is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chenon in the north and north-west, Poursac in the north, Couture in the east, Saint-Front in the south-east, Mouton in the south, Lichères and Moutonneau in the south and south-west, Fontenille in the west and south-west and Lonnes in the West.
