Arncroach is a hamlet in the East Neuk region of the Scottish Council Area Fife . It is about three kilometers north of St Monans and nine kilometers south of St Andrews near the north bank of the Firth of Forth .
history
Kellie Castle is around 500 m east of Arncroach . It was first in 1150 in a document of the Scottish king David I mentioned. The villa Gibliston House is located around 1.2 km west of Arncroach. It was probably built around 1820 for Robert Gillespie Smith of Gibliston . In 1916 Robert Lorimer bought the villa. The Free Church of Scotland had a church building built in the center of the hamlet in 1845. In 1955 a community hall was set up there. Between 1961 and 2001, Arncroach's population was largely unchanged at 100.
