Maine-de-Boixe is a French municipality with 484 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the Arrondissement Confolens ( Angoulême until 2017 ) and the canton Boixe-et-Manslois ( Saint-Amant-de-Boixe until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Manilibuxia .

Maine-de-Boixe is about 22 kilometers north of Angoulême . Maine-de-Boixe is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mansle in the north, Puyréaux in the northeast, Nanclars in the east, Aussac-Vadalle in the south and east, Saint-Amant-de-Boixe in the south and southwest, Vervant in the west and southwest and Cellettes in the West and northwest.
