Vouharte is a French municipality with 329 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the Arrondissement Confolens ( Angoulême until 2017 ) and the canton Boixe-et-Manslois ( Saint-Amant-de-Boixe until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Vouhartais .

Vouharte is about 23 kilometers north-northwest of Angoulême . Vouharte is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Chapelle in the north and north-west, Coulonges in the north, Xambes in the east and north-east, Saint-Amant-de-Boixe in the east, Montignac-Charente in the south and south-east, and Saint-Genis-d'Hiersac in the south and southwest and Genac-Bignac in the west.
