Vieux-Ruffec is a French municipality with 106 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the Arrondissement Confolens and the canton Charente-Bonnieure (until 2015 Champagne-Mouton ). The inhabitants are called Vieux-Ruffécois .

Vieux-Ruffec is located about 47 kilometers north-northeast of Angoulême . Vieux-Ruffec is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Le Bouchage in the north, Benest in the northeast, Champagne-Mouton in the east and southeast and Nanteuil-en-Vallée in the south and west.
