Sauvagnac ( Occitan : Sauvanhac ) is a French commune with a population of 62 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the Arrondissement Confolens and the canton Charente-Bonnieure (until 2015: canton Montembœuf ).

Sauvagnac is located about 39 kilometers east-northeast of Angoulême . Sauvagnac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Massignac in the north, Les Salles-Lavauguyon in the east, Maisonnais-sur-Tardoire in the south and south-east, Roussines in the south and south-west and Le Lindois in the west.
