location
The Tschadinhorn is located in the west of the Schobergruppe and in the east of the municipality of Kals am Großglockner, near the border with Carinthia . The Tschadinhorn is a blunt cone at the end of the long northeast ridge that stretches from the Tschadinsattel ( 2993 m above sea level ) to the Tschadinhorn. The Tschadinsattel forms the demarcation to the Böse Weibl ( 3119 m above sea level ) in the east-northeast. To the west of the Tschadinhorn lies the Schönleitenspitze ( 2809 m above sea level ), separated by an unnamed gorge ( 2749 m above sea level ), and to the south-south-west lies the Northern Mörbetzspitze ( 2912 m above sea level ). Southeast of Tschadinhorns springs from Ruisbach that in the southern Lesachbach flows. The Lesachalmhütte and the Lesachalm are also located here . The Folpremoabach rises to the north-west and quickly flows into the Ködnitzbach .
Promotion opportunities
The normal route to the Tschadinhorn starts at the Tschadinsattel. This can be reached from the Glorerhütte or the Lucknerhaus or the Lesachalmhütte. From the Tschadinsattel you climb the almost flat north-east ridge to the summit, with a small pre-summit, a short rocky ridge and a steep upswing being easy to overcome ( I ). A variant is the ascent of the Tschadinhorn over the southwest flank, which leads from the Lesachalmhütte over marked mountain meadows and sparse forest along a stream to the summit.
