Villiers-le-Roux is a French municipality with 137 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the Arrondissement of Confolens and the canton of Charente-Nord (until 2015 Villefagnan ). The inhabitants are called Villelarosiens or Rouxinvillois .

Villiers-le-Roux is located about 38 kilometers north-northwest of Angoulême and is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montjean in the north, Saint-Martin-du-Clocher in the northeast, La Chèvrerie in the east and southeast, Villefagnan in the south and La Magdeleine in the west.
