Manot is a French municipality with 550 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the Arrondissement of Confolens and the canton of Charente-Vienne (until 2015 Confolens-Nord ). The inhabitants are called Manotais .

Manot is located about 55 kilometers northeast of Angoulême on the Vienne and is surrounded by the neighboring communities
- Ansac-sur-Vienne in the north,
- Saint-Maurice-des-Lions in the northeast,
- Chirac in the east,
- Exideuil-sur-Vienne in the southeast,
- Terres-de-Haute-Charente with La Péruse in the south and Roumazières-Loubert in the west and south-west,
