Lonnes is a French municipality with 178 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Confolens and the canton of Boixe-et-Manslois (until 2015 Mansle ). The inhabitants are called Lonnais .

Lonnes is about 35 kilometers north of Angoulême . Lonnes is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Salles-de-Villefagnan in the north, Verteuil-sur-Charente in the northeast, Chenon in the east, Aunac-sur-Charente in the east and southeast, Fontenille in the south and Juillé in the west and southwest.
