The inhabitants are called Lonnais .

Lonnes is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Salles-de-Villefagnan in the north, Verteuil-sur-Charente in the northeast, Chenon in the east, Aunac-sur-Charente in the east and southeast, Fontenille in the south and Juillé in the west and southwest.
