Val-de-Bonnieure

Val-de-Bonnieure is a French commune with 1,301 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement Confolens and the canton Boixe-et-Manslois .

It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2018 by amalgamating the formerly independent municipalities of Saint-Amant-de-Bonnieure , Saint-Angeau and Sainte-Colombe , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Saint-Angeau.

Val-de-Bonnieure is located about 22 kilometers north-northeast of Angoulême on the Bonnieure . Val-de-Bonnieure is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Front in the north, Saint-Mary in the east, Les Pins in the south-east, La Rochette and Coulgens in the south, Aussac-Vadalle in the south-west, Nanclars in the west and south-west and Saint-Ciers- sur-Bonnieure to the west and north-west.
