Balsha Island (English; Bulgarian остров Балша ostrow Balscha ) is a 600 m long and 300 m wide island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . As one of the Dunbar Islands off the northeast coast of Livingston Island , it is 1.5 km northwest of Slab Point and 2.8 km north of Kotis Point .

Bulgarian scientists mapped it in 2009. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in the same year after the village of Balscha in western Bulgaria .
