Villejésus is a village and a former French commune with 502 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Charente department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Confolens and the canton of Charente-Nord . The inhabitants are called Villesalénois .
With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Aigre and Villejésus were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Aigre of the same name and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Aigre.

Villejésus is located about 28 kilometers north-northwest of Angoulême and is surrounded by the neighboring towns of Ébréon in the north, Tusson in the north and northeast, Fouqueure in the east and southeast, Marcillar-Lanville in the south, Aigre in the south and southwest, Oradour in the west and Saint-Fraigne in the Northwest.
