The Son-Sonnette (also: Sonsonnette ) is a river in France that runs in the Charente department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It rises under the name Son at Roumazières-Loubert , generally drains in a westerly direction and reaches Ventouse , where the Sonnette joins from the right . From this point on the river is called Son-Sonnette , strives further west and flows after a total of 35 kilometers in the municipality of Mouton as a left tributary into a tributary of the Charente .
