Zhou Qunfei

Zhou Qunfei (Chinese: 周 群 飞; * 1970 in Xiangxiang , Hunan Province ) is a Chinese entrepreneur and founder of the Lens Technology group . In 2018 it was with a fortune of 9.8 billion US dollars to the richest woman in the world that has earned their fortunes themselves. In early 2019, her fortune was still $ 4.2 billion.

Life

Zhou Qunfei was born into a poor family, the youngest of three children. At the age of 16, she dropped out of school to become a migrant worker in a factory in Shenzhen , a special economic zone in southern China's Guangdong Province . When the factory closed, she started her first own business in 1993, at the age of 22, with savings of $ 20,000 Hong Kong (approximately $ 3,000).
