Kerlud dolmen
The Kerlud Dolmen is located in the hamlet of Kerlud, about 1.0 km west of Locmariaquer in the Morbihan department in Brittany in France . Kerlud is a gangdolmen ( French dolmen à couloir ) that rises on the edge of the Route de Kerlud road. In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).
The monument consists of four orthostats between which there is wide dry stone masonry. They carry a capstone measuring approximately 3.5 × 4.0 m, which covers a 3.5 × 2.5 m chamber. The dolmen was restored in 1928 by Zacharie Le Rouzic (1864–1939). The corridor faces east. Remnants of the tumulus show that the dolmen was once covered.
