Zhu Weilie

Zhu Weilie ( Chinese  朱威烈 , Pinyin Zhū ​​Wēiliè ; Arabic تشو وى ليه; * 1941 in Jiashan , Zhejiang ) is a well-known Chinese Arabist and Middle East expert. He was director (and Honorary Director) of the Institute of Middle East Studies of the Shanghai International Studies University (Shanghai International Studies University) and Director of the Middle East Key Research Project of the Ministry of Education . The institute at the University of Shanghai publishes an annual report on developments in the Middle East, "which has been a must-read reference for China's Middle East diplomats and researchers".

He studied with Ma Jian , among others .

Among other things, he was editor of the Concise Chinese-Arabic Dictionary .

He is one of the Fellows of the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought (Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought).
