Zichisdsiri ( Georgian ციხისძირი ) is a fishing village in Georgia , in the autonomous republic of Adjara , in the municipality of Kobuleti .
It has a stop on the railway line to Batumi, which runs parallel to the coast, and is located on the European route E 70 , on the Black Sea beach . In 2014 the village had 2,472 inhabitants.
Near the village are the ruins of the ancient Georgian city and Petra castle . The name of the village is also connected to this castle: The Georgian Zichis Dsiri ( Georgian ციხის ძირი ) means “the proximity of the castle”.
Zichisdsiri is a seaside resort in Georgia .
