Zigmantas Pocius

Zigmantas Pocius (born March 26, 1935 in Didvėjis , Raseiniai Rajongemeinde , † November 3, 1997 in Vilnius ) was a Lithuanian politician and publishing manager.

Life

After graduating from high school in 1954 in Viduklė near Raseiniai , he graduated from the Vilniaus universitetas in 1959 . From 1959 to 1964 he worked as a teacher in Kudirkos Naumiestis and Klaipėda . From 1964 to 1984 he worked at Enciklopedijų Leidykla as editor, head of the art department, from 1984 to 1988 at the scientific publishing house "Mokslas" as deputy editor-in-chief, from 1990 to 1991 at Vilniaus universiteto Leidykla and from 1991 to 1992 at "Mokslas" and from 1992 to 1996 at Mokslo ir enciklopedijų Leidybos institutas as director.

From 1993 he was a member of Tėvynės Sąjunga , from 1996 to 1997 a member of the Seimas .
