Zimba is a place with just under 1,000 inhabitants (2006 estimate) in the southern province of Zambia 72 kilometers north of Livingstone on the asphalt road and the railway line to Lusaka . It is 1,226 meters above sea level.

At Zimba there is a nickel deposit that is to be mined in the coming years.

Zimba is particularly interesting as a crossbreed. It is 45 kilometers to Kalomo , the district capital. The road from Zimba to Monze has been renewed. There is a hospital and a primary school in Zimba Mission. Zimba is an important market place for the surrounding villages.
