The zinc pond is a small still water in Darmstadt , Hesse.
geography
The zinc pond is located on the northeastern edge of Darmstadt , west of Messel . It is located on the southern edge of the "Zinkenwiese" in the NSG "Im Mörsbacher Grund". The pond is approx. 50 m long and approx. 20 m wide. The zinc pond is drained by the Mörsbach .
fauna
Different bird species live in the zinc pond; including ducks , kites and wild geese . Numerous native fish species animate the pond.
