Ronald Seeger

Ronald Seeger (born December 23, 1956 in Göttlin ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He is the mayor of the Brandenburg city ​​of Rathenow .

Life

Ronald Seeger has a master craftsman's degree as a construction worker and completed advanced training for the higher service . He has two sons.

Political career

1979 Seeger became a member of the Eastern CDU . From 1990 to 2002 he was First Alderman and Deputy Mayor of Rathenow. In 2002 he was elected mayor in a runoff election as the successor to Hans-Jürgen Lünser ( SPD ) . In 2008 he was re-elected with 73.5 percent of the valid votes. In the mayoral election on March 11, 2018, he was confirmed in office for another eight years with 54.9 percent of the valid votes.

Seeger has been state chairman of the CDU's local political association since 2002 . In 2007 he became deputy chairman of the CDU district association of the Havelland district and a member of the state board of the CDU Brandenburg .
