The Zinnoberhöhle is a tunnel of the old mining in the Harzer Bodetal in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located in the rocky slope on the left side of the Bode valley about 70 meters above the Bode . The Zinnoberstieg leads past her a short distance away . The entrance to the cave is secured against unauthorized entry by a barrier.

In historical times, vermilion was found in the tunnel known as the cave . The cinnabar cave is described in historical records as a very narrow crevice , 150 to 200 feet long and 20 to 30 feet high.
