Zinnoberstieg

The Zinnoberstieg is a climb in the Harzer Bodetal in Saxony-Anhalt .

The unmarked staircase connects the hiking trail through the Bodetal, leading over a cliff, with the Schurre . It begins on the right behind the exit of Königsruhe in the direction of Treseburg a few meters behind the Bülow monument and soon leads steeply up the slope of the Bodetal over natural stone steps. The Zinnoberstieg then winds in several curves up to a cliff with a view of the Bodetal. The climb leads over the rock ridge and then continues as a slope path, where soon a short branch path leads to the right to the Zinnoberhöhle , which the climb owes its name to. In the further, the staircase runs through another view point to the Schurre.

The staircase has a total of 231 steps. The difference in altitude between the beginning at Königsruhe and the Zinnoberhöhle is 70 meters.
