Unturned is a Free2Play - Zombie - Survival horror - computer game that Nelson Sexton under the Development Studio is designed Smartly Dressed games. The game was officially released on Steam in July 2017 . It had previously been in Early Access for three years . Unturned has been downloaded over 26 million times and is one of the most downloaded and played games on Steam as of January 2017.
Gameplay
In the game, the player can fight against zombies on one of six official open world maps. The game also has a crafting and skill system and the ability to build bases. Players can fight against zombies ( PvE ) as well as other players ( PvP ). The players must also pursue needs such as food or drink and pay attention to the life indicator. There are three game modes "Survival", "Arena" and "Horde". Survival mode is available in both single-player and multiplayer modes, and the goal is for the player to survive as long as possible. Various weapons and items of clothing are available for defense. You can also collect other items and drive cars. In arena mode, which is only available in multiplayer mode, you fight against other players in one of four arenas. The last survivor won. The "Horde" mode was first published with the third version of the game and is also only available in multiplayer mode. The aim is to fight several waves of zombies. Needs like hunger or thirst are deactivated in this game mode. Unturned also allows players to create their own content such as maps and mods and publish them via the Steam Workshop.

Unturned was developed by the Canadian Nelson Sexton. He created two of the most popular games with the titles Battlefield and Deadzone on the Roblox gaming platform . Deadzone was a zombie survival horror computer game similar to Unturned , but is no longer available. He published the first version of Unturned when he was 16 years old. Before it was released on Steam, it was already playable via a web browser under the name Unturned 1.0 . It was released on Steam Greenlight in the middle of 2014 under the title Unturned 2.0 . Unturned is currently in its third generation. The game's maps are based on real locations. The first "PEI" card is based on the maritime province of Prince Edward Island in Canada and the second, entitled Washington, is based on the US state of the same name . On August 14, 2015, the Yukon map was published, which is based on the Canadian Yukon territory . About a year later, on August 19, 2016, the country of Russia was mapped and on February 18, 2017, the US state of Hawaii was converted . With the release of the game, another map appeared, which is based on Germany . As a finished game, it was officially released on July 7, 2017.

Kotaku called Unturned as one of the most popular games in the middle of 2014 and held the success for unexpected since the game was developed by one person. PC Gamer describes the game as a simple survival simulator that you can enjoy if you can see beyond the graphics.
