Interest register
The interest register , also called hereditary or land interest register , is a medieval land register in which the amount was entered that an interest farmer had to pay. It also mentions changes (deaths, inheritances, new interest farmers). This is why the entries were often annotated or crossed out.
The interest register for genealogists particularly interesting because it is older than the parish registers .
