The Cistercian Abbey Ter Beek (also: Terbeek or Ter Beeck ) was from 1222 to 1797, a monastery of Cistercian nuns in Sint-Truiden , Limburg , Belgium .

history

The monastery of Sint-Trudodal , founded at an unknown time in the south of Sint-Truiden (French: Saint-Trond ), was moved north of the city to the “Melsterbeek” brook in 1222 (or 1193) and was named “Ter Beek”. In 1707 there was a major fire, 90 years later it was dissolved and dismantled. Only parts of the monastery buildings and the attached manor have been preserved.
