The Cistercian convent Bürvenich was 1230-1803 a monastery of Cistercian nuns in Bürvenich , City Zülpich , in North Rhine-Westphalia .

history

Through donations to an existing nurse Collection ( Begin Community ) the donated counts of Jülich , especially 1234 Wilhelm IV. , In Bürvenich at the church Stephani discovery (the discovery of the relics of hl. Is meant Stephanus ) a Kloster that the neighboring convent Hoven was settled . It existed until 1803. The 52-meter-long church (until 1837 two separate hall churches for the monastery and community) and two monastery buildings at Stephanusstraße 55 bear witness to the former monastery.
