The Cistercian monastery of La Purisima Concepcion is a 1597 founded monastery of Cistercian nuns in Villarrobledo , Province of Albacete in Spain .
history
The monastery of the St. Bernard Sisters, founded in 1597, still exists today on Calle San Bernardo and is known as the Monasterio de la Purísima Concepción y San Bernardo ("Of the purest conception and of St. Bernard "). It belongs to the Cistercian Congregation of San Bernardo (CCSB) . The baroque church has a representation of Jesus with a crown of thorns and a purple cloak, known in Spain as "Christ of Medinaceli".
