Cistercian Convent Sacramento (Boadilla)
The Cistercian Convent Sacramento has been a convent of the Cistercian Sisters since 1615, first in Madrid , and since 1972 in Boadilla del Monte , Autonomous Community of Madrid in Spain.
history
A favorite of King Philip III. of Spain founded the Cistercian convent of the Blessed Sacrament ( del Santísimo Sacramento ) in Madrid ( Calle del Sacramento 7) in 1615 , to which the Iglesia del Sacramento was added from 1671 to 1744 . In 1972 the convent moved to a new monastery 15 kilometers west of Madrid in Boadillo del Monte on the Cerro del Mosquito hill ( Calle Juan Sebastián Elcano , 920).
