Zofia Adamska
Zofia Adamska (born December 9, 1903 in Warsaw , † 1988 ) was a Polish cellist and music teacher.
Adamska had her first cello lessons with Konstanty Przeździecki and later studied at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam . From 1930 to 1939 she was a member of Irena Dubiska's Kwartet Polski (Szymanowski Quartet), and from 1935 to 1939 she was concertmaster of the radio symphony orchestra founded and directed by Grzegorz Fitelberg . As a soloist she has performed successfully on many European stages.
From 1945 to 1950 she was concertmaster of the Krakow Philharmonic, from 1950 to 1955 the cellist of the Kwartet Krakowski . Until 1973 she taught at the Kraków Music Academy .
